New Lens...

Well, after lots of ummm-ing and errr-ing, asking for advice in the DA forums mainly about Canon/Sigma non 'L' prime lenses vs 'L' zoom lenses, my latest lens arrived yesterday...

...and it's a Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 XR Di Ld.
For quality, sharpness, speed, versatility & price I couldn't find anything more suited to my needs.

Seems like I got a good copy as well - after around 100 shots of many different scenes/people I simply couldn't fault it and the ability to get in close/almost macro makes it doubly versatile for portraits - as well as general use.

Anyways, initial impressions are that, much like my Canon 50mm f1.8 II, this one's a keeper =)
